Reach Out to The Enviroment
Global warming, ice bergs melting: What has the world come to? With the world changing like this, the best thing that we can do is try to be more eco-friendly and respect the enviroment. I know alot of you are saying" Being Green is really hard to do!" or "I
don't have time to be green!", but if you can put a bottle into the recycle bin instead of the trash can, then you have time to be green toward the enviroment.
Here are some tips for being greener!
- Instead of putting a soda can in the trash can, put it in the recycle bin. If you don't have one in your house, I'm sure you'll have one probably outside!
- Turn off the water when you're brushing your teeth,or washing your hands or face.
- Take shorter showers! And if you would have trouble adjusting to that, get a steam shower head. That conserves water
- Instead of throwing away bananas peels and other fruit or vegetable scraps, create a compost in your backyard. It is eco-friendly, and helps your grass stay greener
- Type essays and homework on the computer(if you can)and email it to your instructor or teacher.(if they allow it) That saves paper and keeps you from forgetting your homework at home!
- Plant a tree in a community garden, park, or school! It's good for the enviroment, and looks good on college applications
- Celebrate Earth Day! You learn new tips about being green and you can spread the word to others who are definitely willing to listen!
- Spread the word about getting greener! I know you have friends who would also help you get involved
